A Christianity That Doesn’t Need God

Matthew 19:26

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

For most of us the title of this blog post is true; Our lifestyles as Christians have become soo powerless and normal that most of us don’t need God to live the lives that we are currently living. Recently, me and a couple of my friends were called to do something that we have never done before, which was to pray for God to raise a dead person?!?! Even though this sounds crazy, it was something that Jesus commanded us to do. He didn’t ask us, He commanded us!

Matthew 10:8

Heal the sick, (RAISE THE DEAD), cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

So for those of you that think it’s weird, I just need you to know that you’re the weird ones because we are doing what Jesus told us to do and you’re not! 🙂

Anyway, this is something that I’ve realised; Many of us want a lifestyle where we are doing amazing things with God and yet hardly any of us are pressing into to the things that are seen as impossible? How does that even make sense? The bible says “with men it is impossible but not with God, for with God all things are possible”. So let me ask you this question; is your life a living example of all things being possible with God? Does your life spell out to the onlooker, “If you want to see the power of the God that can do anything, anywhere at any time, just look at my life”? The answer for many of us is NO IT DOES NOT!

This truth has to make you uncomfortable. Knowing that everyday you read a book (The Bible) that is literally a book of recordings that show supernatural acts done by God. The sun stood still, the ground opened up, seas departed and mountains shook because of people that had faith and believed in their God, yet what we are experiencing today does not even come close! Not even a little bit!

Most Christians that go after the higher things in God are seen as strange but the truth is; If we are going to see the world transformed and see hundreds of thousands even millions of people give their lives to Jesus then we need to stop talking about a ‘God that did’ and start showing them ‘The God That Still Does’!

For the rest of this week I want you to ask yourself this question; Does my life really look like I serve the God of the impossible? Or am I just living a normal lifestyle with a knowledge of God? I want this blog post to burn, annoy, stir and motivate you into wanting to start seeing the wonder-working power of God move through your lives and take you from a normal to a supernatural lifestyle with God.

Life with God is supposed to be enjoyed not endured!
