“Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap”.
I was just reading my bible and came across this scripture and I immediately knew that I had to write something about this verse. In this verse Solomon uses agriculture, a common theme used throughout the bible to help people understand spiritual truths to explain an important concept of life. If farmers are always waiting for perfect weather conditions before they sow their seeds then there is a possibility that they could be waiting for a very long time to do what they need to do because back then the weather conditions were pretty much unpredictable.
Who knew when the sun would come out, who knew when the rain would stop, who knew when the wind would seize? No one! Therefore farmers couldn’t afford to sit around and wait for a better moment they just had to step out and do what needed to be done.
What Are You Doing?
For most of us we are like farmers that are waiting for the perfect moment before we step out and begin to move on what God has placed in our hearts. I once heard it said that there will never be a perfect moment which is true depending on the outlook that you have in life. You could always be smarter, you could always have a little bit more money, you could always do with the extra experience blah blah blah. However you can’t allow these factors to stop you from stepping out and doing the things that God has called you to do. Don’t allow the enemy to make you focus on what you don’t have and what could be going better. If God has told you to do something then stop waiting for the perfect weather conditions before you sow your seed because Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap!
