Facts about fear
– Often times the fear that we experience is from an external source and not the result of something internal.
– The devil makes you fear things that God wants you to do because he knows he will lose territory if you accomplish that which God has asked you to do.
– Fear is a demonic spirit that makes you focus on and magnify on the negative and possible dangers in any situation. Fear is a perverted type of faith in the devil.
– Fear is not always based on facts. Often times it’s based off an assumption.
– The spirit of fear has an assignment to stop you from being who God has called you to be. This spirit calls you out of alignment with God and his plans for you.
Overcoming Fear

2 Timothy 1:7King James Version (KJV)

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind“.
PowerStrength, might, virtue, ability, Violence
Love; Agape love, charity
Sound Mind; Self control
This scripture show us how to overcome fear. It gives us three things to focus on that when you understand their meaning you will know exactly how to expel the presence of fear whenever it presents itself to you.

You must realise that as a child of God you are full of sovereign power! God has given you authority over all the power of the enemy but in order to move in that power you have to believe this truth wholeheartedly. You have strength over the the spirit of fear, you have God’s might in you to speak to/rebuke the spirit of fear, you are a violent warrior of God! You have dominion over the spirit of fear! USE IT!

When preparing I was trying to figure out why Paul would use love as a tool to overcome fear but then I remembered this scripture (Perfect love casts out fear) 1st John 4:18  God then spoke to me and said the person that deals with fear has not properly embraced the love of God in that moment because when you are enveloped in the love of God you leave no room for the influences of satanic spirits. When God and his love for you become bigger than all surrounding influences then you will always emerge victorious in every trial that you face in life.

Sound Mind

A sound mind in the most basic sense mean self control. When Paul is talking about self control he is talking about having the ability to take dominion over your thought realm. When fear begins to give you suggestion the Spirit that lives in you gives you the ability to identify, sort and expel thoughts that are not your own. This is true for any area of your life whether it be thoughts of doubt, fear, lust, greed, anger, hurt ect ect the Holy Spirit has given you the ability know what’s from God and what isn’t and then he gives you the power to deal with it accordingly!
